Bitch session

I just want to have a whinge about two things that are giving me the shits (hugheys tone) at the moment.
  • Low as fuck frames

Photobucket

Look at this badboy, add this to such frames as the Blackeye Killorado and the Flybikes Tierra and we have a homosexual revolution. How can riding a frame that is level with your ankles be cool/practical? Sure they may be easier to whip, but come on why are we all obsessed with whipping every obstacle within eyesightanyway. I dont get it.

  • Shit fucking edits with gangster/mainstream songs laced over whips, flairs and other various 'training session' tricks.
I know im whinging way too much here but i just cant stand watching an edit/video with an akon or lil wayne or whatever other stupid fucking names they call themselves. Sure, using authentic Hip hop like biggie smalls,NWA, Mos def, the roots, talib kweli is awesome, im down for it, i actually cant stand autotune. The wailing voice makes me cry. tears... tears.... tears. Oh and i cant believe im still having to ask this question.. why MGMT? ahhhh the new mirraco ads have quite unappropriately used electric feel as their song.. why .. why.. why.

Ok ok, im also down for watching short edits maybe filmed in a session (see tom stretton) but why would you film whip airs, flairs, tuck airs etc, maybe do them from a couple of angles and wack it all together! Be creative, watch some old props videos and sus out some of the rad tricks dudes were doing back in the days, there are so many ways to utilise your bike to express creativity, why limit yourself to what every other beanie wearing, low frame, tuck airing kid is doing. Hit the streets, use the ramps at your local as if you couldnt ride them the way they were meant to be. Think!

I suggest watching anything that Kevin Porter/ Ty styuvesant/ Adam Banton/ Shane weston/ Marcas Grubbs/ Taj/ Jim Cielincki are doing.

Yo!
