20/7 Jiggin: Clint Millar

Recently, I inquired with Clint about doing a 20/7 and he came through with an obviously well thought out, diverse mix of songs/albums as well as a heap of photos to accompany. So here we go!

"Mike, here is my 20/7, it's a mixture of complete albums & individual songs.

OK... I have had a few Bloody Mary's here tonight but here goes...."

1. Dr. Dre - Dre. 2001. Been the most played album in my life since it's discovery. I am all gangster you know?

2. Men at Work - Down Under. This has special meaning to me on my first USA trip in 1995 we were stuck in peak hour traffic in Chicago & was feeling home sick & this song came on. It was so good to hear & have loved it ever since. I even used in it Prody Five.

3. Beastie Boys - Check Your Head. This was the first CD I listened too in my first car back in 1993.

4. Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet. This was the first album I aspired to own when I was a kid. All the cool kids at school had it back in 1986.

5. Public Enemy - Apocalypse '91. This was my first ever CD I owned. Loved it.

6. Run-D.M.C - Tougher Than Leather. This was my first ever rap tape. Back when a tape was better than an album. Now I am showing my age !! haha

7. Snoop Dogg - Doggy Style. This CD I listened to for months on end when I had a girlfriend on the Sunny Coast & used to drive to see her every Friday night till Sunday night for our entire relationship. I was in love or so I thought? haha

8. Michael Jackson - Beat It. One of my biggest child hood song memories. I had this on tape & loved it. Hopefully MJ never actually touched me too much?

9. Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights. This is a huge favourite & was reminded it of in recent years by Chris Harrison. Currently in my iTunes most played.

10. Ice-T - It's On. I loved this song in the original Prody Van. Was my theme song for a good year or two there.

11. Ice Cube - My Summer Vacation. One of my favourite rap songs of all time.

12. Garbage - Garbage. I loved so many of the songs of this album from listening to the radio & never knew who it was by. That was until I went to a concert in West End & saw Garbage play & fell in love with Shirley Manson. Especially since I saw her undies in her concert performance at West End.

13. Eazy E - Nobody Move. I thought I was a bad ass teenager listening to this song back in 1993. 13 is my lucky number by the way.

14. Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms. This one became a favourite when I dropped a girlfriend of the time off at the airport & listened to it on the way back from the airport. Reminds me of driving over the gateway bridge every time I hear it now.

15. Donna Summer - Upside Down. Baco made me love this song.

16. 3rd Bass - Wordz of Wisdom. Loved this song back in the day. Reminds me of road tripping to Bundaberg back in the day with Jim & Damien. I learnt decade fly outs on this trip. It was 1991.

17. N.W.A - Real Niggaz Don't Die. I thought I was so black listening to this as a teenager.

18. Roxette - Listen to Your Heart. Such a great '80's song. You gotta feel it, bitch !!

19. 50 Cent - Just a Lil' Bit. This song has special meaning with myself, Dave Osato, Paddy Gross & Dusten Guenther travelling on a German auto bahn at 200plus km/h drinking a few bottles of Jack Daniels & Coke, eating chips & having our own high speed mobile party. One of my best memories ever. To see Dave use this song in the recent Demolition DVD is priceless.

20. Lady Gaga - Paparazzi. This one is just for my wife. She loves Lady Gaga. haha.

  1. Nice work. Also trick is a no-handed hitchhiker, Clint was the first person to do that trick, think there's a picture in an old Go Magazine from way back when.
